There's no denying that nail art is fun. It's an area of makeup where experimentation is key — and there are really no limits to what you can create. But sometimes, nail art fatigue can set in. If you consistently design intricate and extravagant looks with every manicure, you can start to yearn for something simpler.
But simple nail art doesn't have to be boring. In fact, often the more low-key looks can be the most effective. And this wavy blue striped look proves it. It's a little bit nautical, a little bit beachy, and obviously super cute, too.

Instructions
1. Start with a base color of pale blue gel polish. Cure under a lamp.
2. Take a dark navy blue gel polish on a long liner brush, and draw a wavy line up the center of your nail. Cure under the lamp.
3. Use a mid-toned sky blue shade to draw two lines on either side of the navy line, and cure once more.
4. Take a lighter blue, and repeat the process, drawing on either side of the central lines. Cure again.
5. Take an even lighter pale aqua polish, and draw two more wavy lines on the outside, then cure.
6. Finish with a coat of clear gel to seal in your work and add a layer of shine. Cure your nails for a final time.
