This is the pink and purple spotlight look you've been waiting for this spring

Let’s face it. Sometimes, you want to blend in with the crowd, and sometimes you want to be the center of attention. Creating a head-turning eye shadow look has gotten easier since manufacturers have begun producing palettes with 20-plus shades. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to pick the right combination of colors.

If you love bold colors and have a fondness for pink and purple, this is the look for you. The outer and inner corners of the eyes are darkened with orchid and amethyst shadow, whereas the center gets a hefty dose of hot pink. The colors take on even more drama thanks a fluffy pair of false lashes, and the inner corners of the eyes sparkle with silver metallic shadow.

- Liquid foundation (Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear)
- Beauty sponge
- Concealer (Morphe Fluidity Full-Coverage Concealer)
- Loose powder (Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder, Pound Cake)
- Cheek brush
- Bronzer (Anastasia Beverly Hills, Saddle)
- Pink blush (Too Faced Natural Face Palette, Pink Wink)
- Yellow-beige cream eye shadow (MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot, Soft Ochre)
- Buffing brush
- Matte orchid eye shadow (Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette Volume II, Therapy Sesh)
- Blending brush

- Shadow liner brush

- Small, dense eye shadow brush

- False eyelashes (not shown)

- Pinkish nude matte liquid lipstick (Huda Beauty, Wifey)

Instructions
1. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before proceeding to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the product.

2. Outline and fill in your brows using the eyebrow pencil.

3. Apply liquid foundation to your skin with a damp beauty sponge.

4. Brighten the area under your eyes by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Press the product into your skin with the damp beauty sponge.

5. Set your concealer by pressing loose powder below your eyes with the damp sponge. Pat a small amount onto the center of your forehead as well to prevent your skin from getting oily during the day. Sweep the excess away with a cheek brush.

6. Define your cheeks by swirling bronzer below the cheekbones with a cheek brush. Sucking in your cheeks will help you find the hollow to place the color properly.

7. Restore color to your cheeks by patting pink blush onto them with the cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward diagonally toward the hairline near the top of your ear. Swirl the brush to blend away any harsh edges.

8. Pat yellow-beige cream eye shadow onto your eyelids with a buffing brush.

9. Use a blending brush to apply matte orchid eye shadow along the crease of your eye as well as onto the inner and outer corners of the lid.

10. Layer matte amethyst eye shadow over the inner and outer corners of the lid to intensify the color.

11. Pat matte hot pink eye shadow onto the center of the lid.

12. Press amethyst eye shadow below the lower lashes with a shadow liner brush. Note: Leave the center portion untouched until the next step.

13. Press hot pink eye shadow below the center of the lower lashes.

14. Apply silver metallic eye shadow to the inner corners of the eyes with a small, dense eye shadow brush.

15. Apply black mascara to your lashes.

16. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.

17. Apply pinkish nude matte liquid lipstick to your lips.
