Many of us find the idea of experimenting with brighter colors in our eye makeup intimidating. Branching out from bronzes and browns, and venturing into what the whole color spectrum has to offer can seem like too much choice. It's easy to understand why people might be tempted to continue reaching for the neutrals.
But by ignoring the entire rest of the color wheel, you can miss out on some amazing looks. One proven way to expand your eye makeup horizons is to opt for a singular color scheme. If you want to experiment with some cooler, brighter shades, going for mermaid-inspired tones looks super pretty. Once you try it, you'll be ready to bid your neutrals farewell for good!

Instructions
1. Prep your skin with a hydrating primer.
2. Apply a medium-coverage, glowy foundation using a buffing brush.
3. Brighten your under-eyes, the bridge of your nose and the center of your forehead and chin with a full-coverage concealer. Set with a loose powder and a fluffy brush.
4. Use a shimmery powder bronzer to add dimension to your cheekbones and sides of your forehead.
5. Apply a shimmery peachy-pink blush to the apples of your cheeks.
6. Take a medium brown eye shadow (we used M.F.E.O. from the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette Volume I), and work into the crease.
7. Use a matte teal green eye shadow (we used "Jada" from the same palette), and apply it to the crease.
8. Work a bright cobalt blue eye shadow (we used "Twerk") into the center of your mobile lid.
9. Use a shimmery aqua shade (we used "Pool Party") to highlight the inner corners.
10. Take your teal green shade, and smoke out your lower lash line.
11. Use a shimmery cobalt blue eye pencil to line your waterline.
12. Apply fluttery false eyelashes.
13. Line and fill in your lips with a warm brown nude pencil.
14. Apply a creamy nude lipstick over the top to make your lips look plumper.
