This sultry cut crease is easy to master even for a beginner

If you’ve watched cut-crease videos on YouTube, you may have shied away from this popular trend for fear of its difficulty. Most of the time, vloggers apply concealer to the lid to achieve a sharply defined line of shadow. Blending between the lid and the crease is a no-no, and layering eye shadow over concealer over primer is more work than most of us want to do.
Still, the cut-crease trend has its merits. It gives each color its own space and can make the eye look more open. The tutorial below showcases a bronzed taupe lid by darkening the outer corners and keeping the transition shade unblended. Since the hues complement one another perfectly, there’s no harsh line, and the look is subtle and sultry.
