Pretty palettes are hard to pass up. Bright colors feel cheerful and exotic. As gorgeous as they are to look at, it can be challenging to pull together a cohesive look when you’re presented with so many choices. One way of approaching a vibrant eye shadow look is to pair colors that are side by side on the color wheel.
This technicolor tutorial uses burnt orange, yellow, peachy pink and red eye shadow to create a showstopping look. Apply the same colors on the cheekbones, and you’ll be turning heads wherever you go. Since warm hues can make your eyes look red, amplify the lash line with black gel liner to minimize that effect. For this look, false lashes are absolutely necessary. Go big or go home, right?

Instructions
1. Outline your brows, then fill in any sparse areas with the eyebrow pencil.
1. Outline your brows, then fill in any sparse areas with the eyebrow pencil.
2. Apply foundation to your face and eye area with a foundation brush. Tip: Stipple the foundation into your skin to prevent brush marks, and press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
3. Apply light-colored concealer to the center of your forehead, down the center of your nose, below your eyes, above the Cupid’s bow and on the chin. Pat the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
4. Apply dark-colored concealer with a contouring brush to contour your upper forehead, temples and cheeks. Pat the concealer into your foundation, and blend away harsh edges with a damp beauty sponge.
5. Set the light-colored concealer with yellow setting powder. Pat and press it into the skin with the damp beauty sponge.
6. Swirl peachy tan bronzer onto the outer corners of the forehead, the tops of the cheekbones and onto the temples with a cheek brush.
7. Prepare your eye area by applying eye primer with the applicator wand, then blend it in with a blending brush.
8. Sweep burnt orange eye shadow onto the inner and outer corners of the eye as well as the crease and below the lower lashes with a blending brush. Do not apply eye shadow to the center of the lid.
9. Dust yellow eye shadow just above the crease and slightly beyond the outer corner of each eye with the blending brush.
10. Apply eye shadow base to the inner two-thirds of the lid with a flat concealer brush.
11. Pat peachy pink eye shadow pigment onto the inner two-thirds of the lid with a flat eye shadow brush. To brighten the tear duct area, apply the same color there as well.
12. Layer red eye shadow over the burnt orange on the outer corner of the eyelid with a small crease brush.
13. Apply black gel eyeliner with an angled brush to define the upper lash line as well as the outer corner of the lower lash line. Use a small eye shadow brush to diffuse the pigment and create a smoky effect.
14. Apply two coats of black mascara to your lashes.
15. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
16. Dust burnt orange eye shadow onto the tops of the cheek and along the temples with a cheek brush.
17. Sweep peachy pink eye shadow slightly above the burnt orange on the cheekbones and above the Cupid’s bow with a tapered brush. Tip: Use the side of the brush instead of the tip, so you won’t disturb the makeup underneath.
18. Outline the lips with brick-colored lip liner.
19. Fill in your lips with coral metallic liquid lipstick.
