Instructions
1. Paint your entire nail with the FairyGlo 5603 bright yellow gel polish, and cure it under a gel lamp for at least 30 seconds.
1. Paint your entire nail with the FairyGlo 5603 bright yellow gel polish, and cure it under a gel lamp for at least 30 seconds.
2. Carefully paint the outer shape of the Route 66 road sign in the center of your nail using a short round brush and the Elite99 5603 white drawing gel. Once the outline is finished, completely fill the shape with the white drawing gel. Tip: Consult an image of the sign for reference.
3. Cure the nail under the gel lamp until it's completely dry.
4. If you notice any gaps in your nail once it's dry, fill them using the short round brush and white drawing gel.
5. Once all the gaps are filled and the white appears highly pigmented, dry the nail again under the gel lamp.
6. Paint on the rim of the sign a think blue border all the way around with a liner brush and the Canni Gel Paint in shade 617, following the shape of the shield.
7. Add "Route 66" to the sign. This is tricky — the number and word will be upside down from your perspective. To do this, paint a line about three-quarters of the way from the bottom of the sign to separate it into two halves. In the larger bottom half, paint "66" with the liner brush and the Canni Gel Paint in shade 617, which will appear as "99" from your angle. In the smaller half, write "Route." Remember, you can always use images for reference.
8. Dry the design under the gel lamp.
9. Paint the Cheri Non-Wipe Top Coat across the entire nail, and dry it under the gel lamp to protect your design. By the time your nail is dry, you'll be ready to hit the road!
