Get your glow on with a neon flamingo manicure

Neon signs are one of the few marketing tools that consistently attract customers. They tell people when a shop is open or where to dance after dark. That bright glow is housed in gleaming tubes, and it's hard to resist the allure.

Now, take that concept and add a pink flamingo, and you have the makings of a good time. Be it Las Vegas or Miami, this iconic bird is sure to delight. Simply pick up some pink glow-in-the-dark polish and add it to this cute blue and white design -- you'll be pool-party ready in a flash.

Materials
- Blue gel paint (Canni #617)
- UV or LED lamp (Lumcrissy, not shown)
- Extreme Post-it notes
- Toothpick
- White drawing gel (Elite99 #5603)
- Tangerine gel paint (Canni #547)
- Liner brush
- Pink glow-in-the-dark gel polish (FairyGlo #6717)
- Red jelly gel polish (Makartt Crystal Rose Red)
- Short round brush
- No-wipe gel top coat (Cheri)

Instructions
1. Apply two coats of blue gel paint to the nails, curing them between coats with the UV or LED lamp.

2. Use a pad of Extreme Post-it notes as a paint palette. Dip a toothpick into the white drawing gel, then apply it to the Post-it note.

3. Dip a toothpick into the tangerine gel paint, and apply it to the Post-it note as well.

4. Create pale peach gel paint by swirling some tangerine paint into the white. When you’re happy with the color, use the liner brush to draw the outline of a flamingo onto your nail. Cure the wet paint with the lamp.

5. Sweep a thin layer of pink glow-in-the-dark gel polish over the design, then cure it with the lamp.

6. To give your flamingo a wet look, apply red jelly polish over the design with a short round brush. Cure the gel once more with the lamp.

7. Top off the design with white drawing gel to emphasize the shape. Use the liner brush to give it the final touch. Cure the wet paint with the lamp.

8. To make sure your design lasts, apply a layer of no-wipe gel top coat, then cure the nails one last time.
