Create fake bangs instead of cutting your hair

If you have enough hair to put in a ponytail, then you can also fake bangs. The trick is to use the natural length of the hair by laying it against the forehead. A high ponytail makes this a snap. Just pull up the hair, let a section fan across the forehead, and pin everything in place using a bun and a bandana. It's a great way to see if bangs are really in your future without losing your precious length.

Materials
- Hair brush
- Hair elastic
- Bobby pins
- Heat protection spray
- Rattail comb
- Hair clamp
- Flat iron
- Hair spray
- Bandana

Instructions
1. Brush all the hair up into a high ponytail using a hair elastic.

2. Take a small section of hair and fan it down toward the forehead. Pin the hair in place by inserting a bobby pin near the ponytail.

3. Create a bun by wrapping the remaining hair around the ponytail. Secure it in place with bobby pins.

4. Spritz the faux bangs with heat protection spray.

5. Use the rattail comb to section the bangs into layers. Clip the upper layer out of the way and use the flat iron to straighten the lower portion. Release the clamp and straighten the remaining hair.

6. Tie a bandana on the top of your head and spray the hair with hairspray to hold it in place.
