Watch this video to learn all about brush pressure when applying eyeshadow

When it comes to applying eyeshadow, a few little technical changes can make a big difference. The first one involves tools. Even though the eyeshadow palette probably came with a small applicator wand, you'll get much better results with a good brush.
The brush's shape helps you control where you put the pigment, but pressure plays a role as well. If you press hard, you'll be depositing a lot of color in one location (and some will likely end up below your eyes as well). Learning to adjust the pressure will benefit you in the long run. You'll see in the video that variable pressure gives great results.

Materials
- Fluffy makeup brush, preferably with a domed shape
- Two shades of eyeshadow
Instructions
1. Begin by applying the first shade to your lid while using medium pressure. This gives you more control, and you won't end up with a ton of fallout.
2. When you're ready to fill in the crease, wipe off the brush to avoid muddying up the colors, and apply the second shade with light pressure. Your goal is to gradually blend the two shades together so there's no obvious line between them.

What about step 3? There isn't one. You're all done. Told you it was simple.
