This brown smoky liner is more sultry than subtle

Sometimes, the most sophisticated look is the last thing you’d expect. Most smoky-eyed looks use black liner and shadow as a base, but if you want something more subtle, brown is your go-to color.
This beautiful eye makeup look uses a combination of camel brown and rust shadows to give the eye warmth and depth. Pale gold shimmer lights up the lid and brightens the eye. And instead of using black gel liner, a beautiful brown wing rounds out this sultry look.

Instructions
1. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before proceeding to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the product.
2. Apply primer to your face with your fingertips.
3. Outline your brows and fill in missing hairs with brow cream. Use an angled brow brush for precision.
4. To cover redness, apply pale yellow concealer to the entire eye area with a concealer brush. Pat in the product with your finger to eliminate any brush marks.
5. Sweep camel brown eye shadow along your entire lid as well as the crease of your eye with a blending brush.
6. Layer rust eye shadow over the previous color.
7. Pat pale gold shimmer shadow onto the inner two-thirds of the lid with the small eye shadow brush.
8. Dip an angled eyeliner brush into the brown gel. Press the brush into the skin next to the outer corner of the eye, angling the brush upward toward the tail of the brow. Create a second diagonal line above it to form a small triangle. Fill in the triangle and line the upper lash line as well.
9. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
10. Apply stick foundation directly to your skin, and blend it in with a foundation brush.
11. Restore brightness to your face by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Apply the product below your eyes, on the center of your chin and forehead and above your cupid’s bow. Press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
12. Set the concealer by pressing loose powder below your eyes with the damp sponge.
13. Pat pressed powder over each of the concealed areas of your face with a cheek brush to set them.
14. Swirl bronzer along your cheekbones, temples and upper forehead with an angled cheek brush.
15. Restore color to your cheeks by patting pinky coral blush onto them with the angled cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward diagonally toward the top of your ear.
16. Sweep camel brown eye shadow below your lower lashes with a pencil brush.
17. Use the fine-tipped eyeliner brush to fill in your lower waterline with brown gel liner.
18. Set your makeup by misting your face with setting spray. Hold the bottle at least 6 inches away from your face to avoid getting wet droplets on your skin.
19. Use a tapered brush to apply gold highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones and the bridge and tip of your nose.
