Add a pop of neon pink for an edgy, smoky-eyed look

If there’s an evening event on your social calendar, then you may want to opt for a bold, smoky eye paired with one of this season’s most popular hues. Hot pink is really prominent on runways and in magazines lately, but doing a full-on pink lid might be outside your comfort zone.
Change up your smoky-eyed approach by adding a pop of vibrant pink to the inner eye area. To get a truly black lid, apply black gel eyeliner as a base, and then top it off with matte black shadow. You’ll also need light gray and charcoal gray to achieve a gradient effect since a completely black lid can be incredibly stark. Add a pair of false lashes, and you’ll have a head-turning look others will certainly notice.

Instructions
1. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before proceeding to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the product.
2. Apply makeup primer to your face with your fingertips.
3. Pat eye shadow primer onto your entire eye area, and let it dry for a few seconds before proceeding to the next step.
4. Apply black gel eyeliner to the lid and crease with a flat eye shadow brush. Tip: Patting motions ensure that the product applies evenly.
5. Pat black eye shadow onto your lid and crease with the flat eye shadow brush, and then sweep the blending brush along the upper edge of the crease to diffuse the pigment.
6. Layer charcoal gray eye shadow along the upper portion of the crease.
7. Apply light gray eye shadow below your brow bone, and blend it into the previous color with a small eye shadow brush.
8. Pat hot pink eye shadow on the inner corner of your lid above and below the tear duct using the pencil brush.
9. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
10. Remove eye shadow fallout below your eyes with a makeup removing wipe, if needed.
11. Apply liquid foundation to your skin with a foundation brush.
12. Restore brightness to your face by applying light-colored concealer with the applicator wand. Apply the product below your eyes and around the edges of your nose as well as on the center of your forehead, bridge of your nose and above the Cupid’s bow. Press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
13. Press setting powder below your eyes with a damp beauty sponge.
14. Outline your brows, and fill in missing hairs with brow cream. Use an angled brow brush for precision.
15. Swirl bronzer along your cheekbones, temples and forehead with the cheek brush.
16. Restore color to your cheeks by patting pink blush onto them with the angled cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward toward the hairline in a diagonal direction toward the top of your ear.
17. Fill in your lower waterline with black eyeliner pencil.
18. Pat black eye shadow below the lower lashes with a small eye shadow brush.
19. Use a tapered brush to apply a mixture of white and rose gold highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
