Pair a smoky eye with a red lip for a go-to glam look

When you're thinking about glamorous makeup, it's likely two particular things come to mind — a sultry smoky eye and a polished red lip. These two makeup staples have long been the standard option for any fancy, formal, or festive occasion.
So it makes sense that by pairing them together, you can create a look that's the epitome of glamor. You can emphasize both eyes and lips in a way that still doesn't feel like too much, and look absolutely stunning in the process. For your next big event, consider pairing the classic combination.

Instructions
1. Prep skin with a moisturizer, then apply a redness-reducing primer to the center of your face.
2. Use a tinted eye shadow base on a small flat brush to prime your eyelids.
3. Take a mid-toned brown eye shadow on a fluffy brush (we used MFEO from the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Palette Volume I), and work into the crease.
4. Deepen the crease with a warm dark brown. We used "Mocha" from the same palette.
5. Use a dark chocolate brown (we used "Central Park" from the same Jaclyn Hill palette) to add depth to the outer corner.
6. Take a shimmery gold shadow on a flat brush, and apply it to the inner part of your lid. We used "Little Lady" from the same palette.
7. Use a matte black eye shadow (we used "Abyss") to define your upper lash line.
8. Apply fluffy false eyelashes.
9. Use a brush to apply a full coverage foundation to your skin. Blend in using a sponge for a seamless finish.
10. Conceal and brighten the under-eyes with a concealer. Blend with a small fluffy brush and a sponge.
11. Set your concealer using a loose translucent powder and the same damp beauty sponge.
12. Use a warm matte bronzer and a fluffy brush to add definition to your cheekbones.
13. Apply a muted pink cream blush to the apples of your cheeks using an angled blush brush.
14. Fill in your brows to add more structure to your face.
15. Take the first mid-toned brown eye shadow you used, and smoke out your lower lash line. Deepen with your warm dark brown and then your chocolate brown shades.
16. Highlight the inner corner of your eye using a matte white eye shadow and a detailer brush.
17. Finish the look by applying a bright, coral-toned red lipstick.
