Layer bright colors for a galactic rainbow effect

Wishing you were more out-of-this-world lately? The vastness of the galaxy has inspired everything from literature to art to makeup. For a dreamy take on the vibrant eye shadow trend, build a rainbow of color and top it off with blue-black glitter.
To keep from muddying up this look, you’ll work from light to dark. Apply yellow eye shadow high above the crease, and slowly layer additional colors below it. By the time you reach the upper lash line, your gradually darkening galaxy will be ready for its glitter topper. Round out the look by applying purple eye shadow below your lashes, and brighten the center with glitter as well.

Instructions
1. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before proceeding to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the moisturizer.
2. Apply illuminating primer to your cheeks as well as your chin, nose and forehead with your fingers.
3. Apply liquid foundation to your skin with a foundation brush.
4. Brighten the area under your eyes as well as the center of your forehead by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
5. Set the concealer by pressing loose powder below your eyes with the damp sponge.
6. Fill in your brows, as needed, with the eyebrow pencil.
7. Warm up your complexion by swirling bronzer along the cheekbones with a fluffy brush. Sucking in your cheeks will help you find the hollow, so you can place the color properly.
8. Restore color to your cheeks by patting pink blush onto them with the cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward diagonally toward your hairline near the top of your ear.
9. Pat yellow-beige cream eye shadow onto your eye area with a buffing brush.
10. Swirl yellow eye shadow over the crease of your eye with the blending brush.
11. Intensify the crease by layering orange eye shadow over the lower portion of the first color.
12. Apply purple eye shadow onto the lid with a small eye shadow brush, and blend it into the crease as well. Note: The video tutorial does not show this step in its entirety, but the lid must be fully covered with purple eye shadow before proceeding to the next step.
13. Pat plum eye shadow onto the center of your lid with a flat eye shadow brush.
14. Sweep purple eye shadow below your lower lashes with a pencil brush.
15. Layer blue-black glitter eyeliner on your lid. For added drama, apply a small amount of glitter eyeliner below your lower lashes in the center.
16. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds before applying the lashes just above your upper lashes.
