Say bye-bye to boring with this sunset serenade makeup look

When there’s a festive celebration on your social calendar, it’s time to pull out all the stops. The right clothes, accessories, hairstyle and makeup all play a role. Once you have your wardrobe picked out, it’s time to glam up in a big way, and this sunset eye makeup look will have you feeling fierce in no time.
Vibrant eye shadow colors are key to this style, so grab all your bright matte shadows and get started. Because this is a sunset look, the lightest color should be near the brows, and the darkest shades should be below the lower lashes. This style takes more time than a typical daytime look, but it’s worth the effort.

Instructions
1. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before proceeding to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the product.
2. Pat yellow-beige cream eye shadow onto your eye area with a buffing brush.
3. Swirl yellow eye shadow over the crease of your eye with the blending brush.
4. Intensify the crease by layering orange eye shadow over the lower portion of the first color.
5. Sweep pink eye shadow onto the outer corner of the upper lid and along the crease.
6. Apply purple eye shadow onto the lid with a small eye shadow brush, and blend it into the crease. Note: The video tutorial does not show this step in its entirety, but the lid must be fully covered with purple eye shadow before proceeding to the next step.
7. Apply purple shimmer eye pencil onto the lid.
8. Fill in your lower waterline with metallic blue eye pencil.
9. Sweep purple eye shadow below the outer half of your lower lashes.
10. Apply blue shimmer eye pencil below the inner half of your lower lashes, and smudge it with a pencil brush to soften the look. Note: This step is not shown in the video tutorial.
11. Apply black mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
12. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the false lashes just above your upper lashes.
13. Apply base makeup to your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
14. Restore brightness and dimension by applying concealer to key areas of your face. Use the applicator wand to apply product below your eyes, along the bridge of your nose, above the cupid’s bow and on the center of your forehead and chin. Press the product into your skin with the damp beauty sponge.
15. Set the concealer by pressing translucent powder below your eyes with the damp sponge.
16. Define your cheeks by swirling contour powder below the cheekbones with a cheek brush.
17. Restore color to your cheeks by patting pink blush onto them with the cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward toward the hairline diagonally toward the top of your ear.
18. Fill in your brows, as necessary, with the eyebrow pencil.
19. Set the makeup by misting your face with setting spray. Hold the bottle at least 6 inches away from your face to avoid getting wet droplets on your skin.
20. Accentuate your cheekbones by patting gold highlighter onto them with a tapered brush.
21. Apply nude lipstick to your lips.
