Channel old Hollywood glamour with blurred winged eyeliner

Want to see your name in lights? This old Hollywood glamour makeup look will have you ready for your close-up in no time. Blurred winged eyeliner exudes a 1950s Americana aesthetic, while satin pearl eye shadow and highlighter makes you shine from the inside out. To top off the look, give yourself a seductive smirk with velvety nude liquid lipstick.
An unexpected bonus of this look? Blurring the edges of your eyeliner means you don’t have to draw symmetrical lines. Winged eyeliner can be difficult to pull off perfectly, but this technique is forgiving enough even for novices. A pair of voluminous false lashes further helps hide any imperfections.

Instructions
1. Rub moisturizer into your face with your fingers.
2. Apply foundation using a foundation brush. Use short strokes across your cheeks, and blend in the foundation around your eyes using the wide end of a damp blending sponge with a stippling motion.
3. With contour cream a few shades lighter than your foundation, draw a few lines beneath your eyes, a triangle between your brows and a line down your nose. Blend it in with the tapered end of a damp blending sponge using a stippling motion.
4. With contour cream a few shades darker than your foundation, draw two dotted lines beneath each cheekbone. Blend it in with the tapered end of a damp blending sponge using a stippling motion.
5. Apply setting powder on your cheeks with the side of a blending sponge and a stippling motion.
6. Sweep bronzer along your cheekbones. Swirl and stipple blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
7. Shape and define your brows. First, shape your brows with a spoolie. Then, use an angled brow brush and brow pomade to line and fill in your brows.
8. Apply eye shadow primer to your lids. Blend it in with your fingertip. This will help the eye shadow stay in place all day.
9. Apply mascara to your upper lashes.
10. With a fluffy eye shadow brush, apply “Beam” or a satin pearl shadow to your entire lid and up to your brow. To apply, load shadow onto the brush, and pull it across your lid in one long motion. Tap shadow into any gaps as needed.
11. Line your upper lash line with gel eyeliner and an angled eyeliner brush. Draw a winged end tapering down from the inner corner of your eye. To draw winged liner from the outer corner of the eye, draw a line angled up from the corner, and connect the top of the line down to the middle of the lash line. Fill in between the two lines.
12. With the same angled brush, outline the liner with “Noir” or a matte black shadow. This will give the liner a blurred effect.
13. Line your lower waterline with “Black Lace” or a black eye pencil. Blur the edge of the liner so it matches the style on your upper lash line.
14. Apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band of the false lashes while holding them with tweezers. Let the glue set for 10 second, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
15. Apply “Wifey” or another nude liquid lipstick.
16. Spray setting spray across your face.
17. With a highlighter brush, sweep highlighter along the top of your cheekbones. Dust highlighter onto the tip of your nose, the bridge of your nose and above your cupid’s bow.
