Recapture your youth and sport some cotton candy vibes

As children, most of us were drawn to bright colors, especially at the fair or amusement park. The rides, costumed characters and even the food came in dramatic hues of pink, purple and blue. If you’ve been missing your childhood or simply want to create a playful look inspired by it, this cotton candy color combo can make that dream a reality.
Combining bright colors can easily lead to a muddled mess if you don’t have a plan of attack before getting started. Because you want the fuchsia to be bright, use it as your transition shade, and layer blue and purple on top of the lid. Darken the outer and inner corners as well to achieve a seamless effect. For added drama, apply glitter eyeliner in the center of the lid.

1. Spritz your face with hydrating mist, and wave the fan near it to help the mist dry faster.
2. Prepare your skin for makeup by applying moisturizer with your fingers. Wait a few minutes before starting the next step to make sure your skin has fully absorbed the product.
3. Apply green color-correcting primer to your cheeks, chin, nose and forehead.
4. Apply liquid foundation to your skin with a foundation brush, and gently press a damp beauty sponge against your face to remove excess product and brush marks.
5. Brighten the area under your eyes and cover redness around your nose by applying light-colored concealer with the applicator wand. Press the product into your skin with the damp beauty sponge.
6. Contour your cheeks by dotting dark-colored concealer underneath your cheekbones with the applicator wand. Press the concealer into your foundation with the beauty sponge.
7. Set the concealer by pressing loose powder below your eyes with the damp sponge.
8. Swirl bronzer along your cheekbones with a cheek brush.

12. Use a blending brush to apply matte fuchsia eye shadow onto the outer corner of the lid as well as the crease of the eye.
13. Apply matte merlot eye shadow to the outer corner of the lid with a pencil brush, and blend it into the fuchsia with the blending brush.
14. Apply electric blue eyeliner onto the entire lid to act as an intensifying base for the blue eye shadow. Apply eyeliner around the inner corner of the tear duct as well.
15. Pat electric blue shimmer eye shadow onto the lid with a flat brush.
16. Darken the outer corner of the eye with purple shimmer eye shadow. Use the pencil brush to place the pigment and blend it gently into the crease.
