Ease into the bright eyeliner trend with this simple approach

Just when you thought mastering winged liner was proof that you’re a makeup genius, bright eye shadow looks began hitting the fashion pages. Bold shades of blue are everywhere, but they can be intimidating initially. If you want to ease your way into using colored liner, this makeup tutorial is the perfect way to do it.
Keep your eye shadow neutral by using an almond shade to brighten your lid and fawn to give your crease dimension. Line upper lashes with bright blue liner, and extend each end to elongate your eye. Add natural-looking false lashes to make your eyes look bigger, and use neutral shades on your cheeks and lips for balance.

Instructions
1. Massage your face with moisturizer using your fingertips.
2. Pat and press makeup primer into your skin to ensure the base makeup applies smoothly.
3. Apply base makeup to your skin with a foundation brush. Apply the product in downward strokes and stippling motions to prevent brush marks.
4. Pat light concealer under your eyes and near the tear duct to cover any darkness using your ring finger.
5. Apply dark concealer with the applicator wand to contour your forehead, nose, cheeks and inner eyes. Press it into place with the foundation brush.
6. Pat loose powder onto your skin with a powder brush to set your under-eye area, eyelids and T-zone.
7. Brush dark pressed powder onto your skin with the powder brush to warm up your cheekbones and corners of your forehead.
8. Pat warm-toned blush onto your cheeks with the cheek brush.
9. Pat eye shadow primer onto your entire eye area with your ring finger.
10. Sweep matte fawn eye shadow along the crease of your eyelid with a blending brush.
11. Pat matte almond eye shadow onto your entire lid with the shading brush.
12. Line your upper lashes with bright blue liquid eyeliner. Draw a small wing at the outer corner, and line slightly beyond the tear duct to elongate your eye’s appearance.
13. Apply black mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
14. Put a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
15. To brighten the eye and make it look larger, apply nude eye pencil to your lower waterline.
16. Fill in missing brow hairs with brow cream. Use an angled brush for precision.
