Try the pastel trend this season with a light blue eye look

Picking the right shade of blue can be difficult. Bold colors tend to intimidate, and metallic hues aren’t always appropriate for the occasion. This season, pastel colors of all kinds are in style, and baby blue might just be your home-run swing.
When applying pastel shadow, it’s important to start with a neutral base. MAC’s Soft Ochre Paint Pot cream shadow is a cult classic and neutralizes redness on the lid. Fluffy false lashes offset the subtle color, but you can just use mascara if you want a more work-appropriate effect.

Instructions
1. Apply moisturizer to your face with your fingertips.
2. To ensure your base makeup applies smoothly, pat and press makeup primer into your skin.
3. Cover discoloration and prime the eye area for pigment by patting yellow-beige cream eye shadow onto the entire area with a buffing brush.
4. Apply baby blue eye shadow onto the lid and along the crease of the eye with a blending brush.
5. Dip a flat eyeliner brush into the black gel eyeliner, then draw a short diagonal line from the outer corner of the lid up toward the tail of the brow. Draw a second diagonal line above it to create a small triangle. Fill in the triangle, and line the entire upper lash line.
6. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and put a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
7. Groom your brows with a spoolie, then fill in sparse spots and missing hairs with brow cream. Use an angled brush for precision.
8. Apply foundation to your skin with a foundation brush. Apply the product in downward strokes and stippling motions to avoid leaving brush marks.
9. Cover darkness under your eyes with light-colored concealer. Apply it also to the center of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, above your Cupid’s bow, and on your chin. Press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
10. Contour the hollows of your cheeks with dark concealer. Tip: Sucking in your cheeks will help you determine the proper location. Press the concealer into your foundation with the damp sponge.
11. Press setting powder into the concealed areas of your face with the damp sponge. Brush off the excess powder with a powder brush.
12. Apply baby blue eye shadow below the lower lashes with a pencil brush.
13. Darken your lower lashes with black mascara.
14. Pat pink blush onto your cheeks with the cheek brush.
15. Put the finishing touches on your look with matte peach lipstick.
