Make the bright blue trend your own with a blue halo eye shadow look

Bright blue eye makeup may be the hottest look in town, but it can feel intimidating if you’re accustomed to neutral shades. One way to ease into a new color is to opt for a halo eye effect. This style limits the bold colors to the outer areas of the eye, so that the center of the lid is light and bright.
To create the halo, use two shades of blue, and add lavender and white glitter shadow. Line the lower waterline with bright blue eye pencil for a touch of brightness. Add a pair of fluffy false lashes, but keep the cheeks and lips neutral so they won’t overpower your beautiful blue eyes.

Instructions
1. Cover discoloration and create a base for the eye shadow by applying concealer to your eye area and pressing it into your skin with a buffing brush.
2. Set the concealer by sweeping loose powder over it with a blending brush.
3. Sweep bronzer along the crease of your eyelid with a blending brush.
4. Apply baby blue eye shadow to the crease as well as the inner and outer corners of your lid with a crease brush.
5. Darken the inner and outer corners of your lid by layering cool matte blue eye shadow over the previous color. Using a flat eye shadow brush will help prevent excess shadow from settling below your eyes.
6. Sweep matte lavender eye shadow just above the crease with the crease brush. The pigment will overlap the blue slightly, but it should also show just above it.
7. Pat white glitter eye shadow onto the center of your lid with the flat eye shadow brush. Glitter can be messy, so tap the brush against a mirror or counter to knock off excess product before pressing the brush against your lid.
8. Line your lower waterline with a bright blue eye crayon.
9. Use the flat eye shadow brush to apply matte blue eye shadow below your lower lashes.
10. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and put a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply them just above your upper lashes.
11. Fill in missing brow hairs with brow cream. Use an angled brush for precision.
12. Apply moisturizer to your face with your fingertips.
13. Apply base makeup with a foundation brush. Apply the product in downward strokes and stippling motions to avoid leaving brush marks.
14. Bring light to your skin by applying light-colored concealer to the center of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, outside the corners of your nose, just above your jawline and on your chin. Press the product into your skin with a foundation brush.
15. Use a powder brush to set the concealer under your eyes with translucent loose powder.
16. Give your skin a sun-kissed glow by dusting bronzer onto your temples, upper forehead and tops of your cheekbones with the powder brush.
17. Stipple peachy-orange blush onto your cheeks with a cheek brush.
18. Emphasize your cheekbones, nose, Cupid’s bow and chin with pearlescent quartz highlighter. Apply with a tapered brush for precision.
19. Line your lips with nude lip pencil to keep your lipstick from bleeding.
20. Fill in your lips with nude lipstick.
