Turn today’s headline or image into a newsprint decal for your next manicure

Creative people always have something to say. They also tend to read a lot to keep current on news and world events. If you love newspapers or are just looking for a way to add something interesting to your next manicure, try this newsprint decal technique.
While having newsprint smudges on your fingers is annoying, that very same smudging quality is what makes this design work. Start with a pink base coat. Use traditional polish because you’ll need to dip your nail into alcohol to make the ink transfer. Don’t use glossy magazine images here, as the alcohol will prevent the image from transferring.

Instructions
1. Apply two coats of pink nail polish, and allow each coat to dry fully before continuing. Note: The product shown is not a gel product, so there’s no need to cure it.
2. Pour 99 percent isopropyl alcohol into a small cup, and submerge your nail in the liquid for 10 seconds.
3. Cut the newspaper images into squares or circles that are slightly bigger than your nail.
4. Place an image on your wet nail, and use a lint-free wipe to press the image into place. Tip: The wipe is not shown in the video, but using one will prevent the newspaper from tearing when you press it into place.
5. Use the tweezers to gently peel off the paper. Allow the image to set for several seconds.
6. Coat the nail with sealer gel, and cure it with the lamp.
