Beat the wintertime blues with this sparkly yellow makeup look

In the dead of winter, keeping spirits up can be difficult. The skies are gray, the landscape is barren, and it seems like spring has frozen in time. One surefire way to cure the wintertime blues is a bright, cheery makeover.
If you’ve never considered wearing yellow eye shadow before, now may be the time. Picking the right shade can be tricky, but pastels look beautiful on fair skin, and sparkly companion shades can lighten your mood and maybe even brighten someone else’s day.
When wearing this glittery combination, line the upper lid in black, and don’t forget that wing! The liner and false lashes offset the bold colors. Neutral shades are your best bet for cheeks and lips when rocking a vibrant eye look, so tread lightly with blush, bronzer and lipstick.

Instructions
1. Gently massage moisturizer into your skin with your fingertips.
2. Pat and press illuminating primer into your skin to help the base makeup last longer.
3. Apply foundation to your skin in downward strokes using a foundation brush.
4. Apply light-colored concealer below your eyes, above your Cupid’s bow, along the bridge of your nose and on the center of your forehead and chin. Press in the concealer with a damp beauty sponge.
5. Apply dark-colored concealer below your cheekbones and on the upper corners of your forehead with the applicator. Press the product into your skin with the damp beauty sponge. Suck your cheeks in slightly to locate the hollow of your cheek to help you place the concealer in the proper location.
6. Set the light-colored concealer by pressing setting powder into your skin with the damp sponge.
7. Apply mattifying powder below the hollows of your cheeks with the beauty sponge, but don’t brush off the excess yet.
8. Brush eyebrow gel or pomade through your eyebrows with the angled brow brush.
9. Remove the excess powder below your eyes and on your cheeks with a powder brush. Sweep the brush over your entire face to set the rest of the makeup.
10. Warm up your complexion by swirling bronzer along your cheekbones and upper forehead with the powder brush.
11. Sweep peachy-pink blush onto your cheeks with a cheek brush.
12. Prime your eyes for color by applying yellow-beige cream eye shadow with a concealer brush. Cream eye shadow hides discoloration and helps pigment look more vibrant.
13. Sweep bright yellow eye shadow over the crease of your eye and onto the outer and inner corners of the eyelid with a blending brush.
14. Pat yellow glitter eye shadow onto the center of your eyelid with a flat shading brush. Any excess can fall below the eye, so tap your brush against the mirror to knock it off before pressing the pigment against your eyelid.
15. A bold eye look deserves an equally bold wing, so dip the flat eyeliner brush into the black eyeliner gel, and press the brush firmly against the outer corner of your upper lash line to create a diagonal line. Create a second diagonal line above the first to create a small triangle. Fill in the triangle, and line the upper lashes completely.
16. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
17. Apply bright yellow eye shadow below the lower lashes with a pencil brush.
18. Darken your lower lashes with a coat of black mascara.
19. Mist your face with setting spray. Hold the bottle at least 6 inches away to avoid getting wet droplets on your skin.
20. Sweep gold highlighter onto your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and your Cupid’s bow with a tapered brush.
