This pastel orange and yellow makeup look is a sunny way to salute spring

Want to warm up your style for spring? This orange and yellow makeup application draws inspiration from carnations, one of the season’s picturesque blooms. Try it out for your next visit to the botanical gardens or a day at the park with friends. You can even wear it when the weather’s still cold for an instant pick-me-up.
This look is fun to try if you have a large eye shadow palette with a few shades of orange and yellow. Matte orange eye shadow mixes with matte and shimmery yellow for a glistening pastel effect. False eyelashes match the drama of the vibrant colors. A nude lipstick helps balance the shadow so the look is casual enough for daytime.

Instructions
1. Squeeze several lines of foundation onto your face. Blend it in with a foundation brush using stippling and swirling motions.
2. Apply a small amount of color-correcting cream beneath your eyes. Blend it in with a small flat top brush. Apply and blend in concealer beneath that using a stippling motion. Use the same motion to apply concealer to your chin, above your lips, along the bridge of your nose and on the center of your forehead.
3. With a contouring stick, apply a line along your cheekbones, the top edge of your forehead, bracketing the bridge of your nose, your eyelid creases and along your jawline. Use a contouring brush and stippling motion to blend it in.
4. With a powder brush, tap powder onto oil-prone areas.
5. Apply blush to your cheeks with a stippling motion. With a highlighter brush, apply Tourmaline and Moonstone to the tops of your cheekbones. You can also blend together a light and medium-colored highlighter for the same effect.
6. Outline and fill in your brows with brow cream and an angled brow brush. Shape your brows with a spoolie.
7. Apply and blend in eye shadow primer with your fingertip.
8. With a fluffy eye shadow brush, sweep D1 or a matte yellow eye shadow onto the outer edge and crease of your lid. Apply E2 or a matte orange shadow to the middle of your lid.
9. With a flat eye shadow brush, apply C2 or a shimmery, canary yellow shadow to the inside of your lid and the inner corner of your eye.
10. Line your lower waterline with Coconut or a peach-colored liner. With an angled eyeliner brush, apply the matte yellow shadow along your lower lash line. Accent the outer edge with matte orange shadow.
11. Apply false eyelashes. Allow the lash glue to set.
12. With a highlighter brush, apply loose highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, above your cupid’s bow and to your chin.
13. Line your lips in Spice or a dark pink lip liner. Apply Shrimpton or a nude lipstick of your choice.
