Prepare for your close-up with red carpet makeup

Have you ever imagined walking the red carpet at a prestigious awards show? The glitz and glamour have their allure, and even if you won’t be receiving any accolades in the near future, that doesn’t mean you can’t look red-carpet ready. Holiday parties, weddings and family celebrations are good places to go all-out glam.
Creating a camera-worthy look requires precision and balance. The smoky eye in this tutorial is brightened with metallic copper shadow, so it doesn’t look too dark. Layering contouring products like dark-colored concealer and bronzer gives the face dimension and the makeup night-long staying power. And since no red carpet look would be complete without a classic red lip, grab your favorite liquid lipstick for a pout with pucker power.

Instructions
1. Prime your eye area by patting yellow-beige cream eye shadow onto the area with a concealer brush. Allow the product to dry thoroughly before proceeding, or it will be difficult to blend your eye shadow.
2. Sweep camel eye shadow into the crease with a blending brush in windshield wiper motions.
3. Darken the outer corner of your lid and the lower portion of the crease by applying reddish-brown eye shadow with the blending brush.
4. Smoke out the outer third of the upper lash line with dark brown eye shadow. Use a small crease brush for precision.
5. Layer black eye shadow over the dark brown color on the lash line to amplify the intensity. Use a small eye shadow brush to avoid getting fallout below your eye.
6. Pat metallic copper eye shadow on the inner third of the lid with your finger. Use a small brush to blend the edges near the tear duct.
7. Hold the skin near the eye taut while lining the upper lash line with black pencil eyeliner.
8. Apply black mascara to your lashes.
9. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
10. Apply foundation with a foundation brush to even out your skin. Press the foundation into the skin with a damp beauty sponge to eliminate brush marks and excess product.
11. Apply light-colored concealer to the center of your forehead as well as below your eyes, above your Cupid’s bow, down the center of your nose and on the tip of your chin. Press the product into the foundation with a damp beauty sponge.
12. Accentuate your cheekbones, temples and upper forehead with dark-colored concealer. Apply the product to each area with the applicator wand, then press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
13. Press loose setting powder onto each area where you applied light-colored concealer. Using a damp beauty sponge will help the powder bond with the cream product underneath.
14. Sweep more loose setting powder beneath the dark-colored concealer. Leave the powder on your face for now. You’ll sweep it off later.
15. Swirl bronzer onto your upper forehead and along your cheekbones with a cheek brush.
16. Fill in your brows with eyebrow pencil.
17. Sweep the excess powder off your face with a powder brush.
18. Apply camel eye shadow below your lower lashes with a pencil brush.
