Look groovy in this 1960s-inspired mod makeup

If you want your eye makeup to stand out from the crowd, there's really only one era you can look to — the swinging '60s, of course. The decade was jam-packed with totally groovy makeup, particularly for the eyes. For a statement eye look that is flattering, look no further.
By combining '60s shapes with modern techniques, you can ensure you don't look like you are on the way to a costume party. The best part is that while this look seems complicated, it actually surprisingly quick and easy to re-create!

Instructions
1. Start by filling in the brows. Use a liquid eyeliner pen to create small, hairlike strokes.
2. Apply a blurring primer to the center of the face, including the forehead, by the nose, the upper lip and chin, blending with fingers.
3. Apply a full-coverage foundation with a large brush. Blend in using a damp beauty sponge.
4. Put concealer on the under eyes with a small brush. Blend in using the same damp beauty sponge.
5. Set the face using a large brush and a loose powder.
6. Contour the nose with a darker shade of concealer, blending it in with a brush.
7. Contour the cheekbones with a light taupe eye shadow, using swirling motions and a medium makeup brush to add the color.
8. Prime the eyelids with a nude eye shadow base.
9. Draw a line parallel to, but slightly above, the eye's crease with black gel liner.
10. Apply a matte blue eye shadow in the space below the gel liner.
11. Connect the outer end of the line to the outer corner of the eye using black gel liner.
12. Apply black mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
13. Draw in extra lashes along the bottom lashline using the same liner you first used on the brows.
