Create stunning crystalized geode 3D nail art

If you are among those captivated by crystal geodes, bring their beauty to your nails with sparkling 3D nail art. This straight forward DIY look is easy to achieve and can be customized with a variety of colors. Rock it on an accent nail or every nail if you don't mind a little extra bling.

Just like actual geodes, no two nails will come out the same. That's what makes this look so unique. The result is bound to dazzle onlookers and start conversations with fellow crystal enthusiasts.

Materials
- Orly Fx Sheer Nude Gel
- UV or LED lamp such as Lumicrissy
- Silver and blue foil
- Cheri Non-Wipe Gel Top Coat
- Elite99 White Gel Polish
- Long liner brush
- Swarovski Crystal Pixie Petite in Cute Mood
- Toothpick
- Gold leaf
- Tweezers

1. Prepare the nail by applying Orly Fx Sheer Nude Gel. Cure under the UV lamp.

2. Apply silver and blue foil by dabbing the foil sheet on the nail repeatedly.

3. Apply a layer of Cheri Non-Wipe Gel Top Coat. While that is still wet, paint a marbled design by applying the white gel polish with a long liner brush. Cure under the UV lamp.

4. Apply another layer of top coat.

5. While the top coat is still wet, apply Swarovski crystals to an isolated section of the nail. Hold the bottle of loose crystals so it hovers over the nail, and gently tap it with your pointer finder to control how many crystals are released.

6. Move displaced crystals into place with a toothpick. Cure under the UV lamp.

7. Apply top coat around the crystals.

8. Adhere gold leaf flakes to the areas covered by the top coat using tweezers. Cure under the UV lamp.
