Strut your stuff in this peacock-inspired makeup look

Interested in getting more use out of the boldest and brightest eye shadows in your palette? Try this peacock makeup look on for size. It uses yellows, blues, greens and purples for an adventurous and beautiful style that will keep the party going long into the night.
While this peacock makeup look works well as a unique last-minute costume idea, there are several other reasons to take it out for a spin. The bright hues and touch of glitter are just the thing for a night of dancing. Although inspired by the colors of a peacock, the purple, green and yellow also match Mardi Gras. You’re sure to get compliments on your creativity from other parade goers, and maybe some extra beads to boot!

Instructions
1. Apply foundation directly to your face, then spread evenly with the foundation brush.
2. Apply a few lines of concealer beneath your eyes, between your eyebrows, down the top of the nose, on the bow of your lips and to your chin. Blend in the concealer.
3. Apply powder foundation across your face with an angled brush. Use a quick stippling motion to apply the powder evenly.
4. Sweep bronzer around the edges of your face using a large powder brush. Start at the middle of the forehead, then sweep down and under the cheekbones, then across the jawline.
5. Apply eye primer to your eyelid with the round shadow brush. Use a stippling motion to apply the primer to the entire eyelid, above the crease, up to the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eye.
6. Load the eye shadow blending brush with both yellow and ochre eye shadow, then sweep the eye shadow across the crease. The color should come down toward the inner corner of the eye and angle up toward the brow bone at the outer corner of the eye.
7. Apply the hot blue eye shadow with a small brush. Use a stippling motion to apply the shadow to the outer lid, above the middle lid and to the inner lid. Use a blending brush to blend the shadow across the lid and up above the outer corner of the eye, following the same angle as the yellow shadow.
8. Use a small brush to load up the dark blue shadow onto the outer V of the lid.
9. With a large round eye shadow brush, carefully add more eye primer to the middle and inner eyelid. Using your fingertip, dab green-gold glitter to the primer. A small angled brush will help you blend the glitter with the shadow.
10. Wrap a makeup removing wipe around your finger, and use it to draw an angled line under the blue and yellow shadow. This will give the shadow a clean, even edge. Blend the edge slightly with a blending brush.
11. Apply dark blue gel liner to the waterline.
12. Use a small eye shadow brush to add more yellow and ochre shadow to the lower lash line.
13. Use a clean small brush to add a hint of dark blue shadow between the waterline and lower lash line.
14. Apply faux eyelashes.
15. Use a detail brush to shade your brows with Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow, then use a spoolie to spread the product and shape the brows.
16. Using a small powder brush, sweep shimmery white-gold shadow across the top of your cheek, just beneath the blue and yellow eye shadow. Sweep the shadow down the top of the nose and on the bow of the lips.
17. With a small eye shadow brush, add purple shadow to the outer lid and the outside of the lower lash line.
18. Apply liquid lipstick.
19. Your peacock-inspired makeup look is complete! Now get out there and strut your stuff.
