Brown and gold get a sultry summer makeover

Some colors just naturally go together. Brown and gold can be smoky or subtle, and this combination is a perennial winner for both day and night. To make the most of your gold shimmer shadow, pat it onto the inner two-thirds of the eyelid. Leaving the outer corners dark will elongate your eye.
Before you begin, prep your skin with makeup primer. It will keep your makeup from sliding around during the day, and some formulas even control excess oil. For a summer or daytime look, use a damp beauty sponge to apply the foundation. You’ll get lighter coverage and a more natural finish.

Instructions
1. Apply primer to your T-zone to control oil and lock foundation in place.
2. Apply foundation to your face with a damp beauty sponge. The sponge provides lighter coverage and a sheer finish.
3. Restore brightness to your face by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Apply the product below your eyes, on the center of your forehead and down the bridge of your nose. Press the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
4. Tap gold liquid highlighter above your cheekbones and brows with your fingers, and press it into place with the damp beauty sponge.
5. Tap pressed powder onto the concealed areas of your face and chin with a cheek brush.
6. Pat powder foundation on the rest of your face to set your makeup for the day.
7. Swirl bronzer along your cheekbones and temples with the cheek brush.
8. Restore color to your cheeks by patting peachy brown blush onto them with the cheek brush. Apply the product from the center of your cheek outward toward the hairline in a diagonal direction toward the top of your ear.
9. Groom your brows with the attached spoolie, and fill in any missing hairs with the brow pencil.
10. Mix light and dark brown eye shadow on the blending brush, and sweep the pigment along the crease of your eye.
11. Line your upper lashes with dark brown gel pencil. To elongate your eye, make the outer corner of the line slightly thicker.
12. Layer dark brown eye shadow over the gel liner with a flat brush, and draw a “V” on the outer corner so that part of the crease is darkened.
13. Pack gold shimmer eye shadow onto the inner two-thirds of your lid. Be careful not to cover up the dark brown shadow on the outer corner.
14. Darken the area below your lower lashes with the brown gel pencil.
15. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lashes.
16. Line your lips with camel brown lip liner.
17. Fill in your lips with nude pink lipstick.
18. Set the makeup by misting your face with setting spray. Hold the bottle at least 6 inches away from your face to avoid getting wet droplets on your skin.
