Spice up your holiday style with this red lip look

If you want to give your usual makeup a holiday refresh, you can’t go wrong with a bold red lip. Deep red is a classic holiday color, found everywhere from ornaments to cranberries and now this picture-perfect makeup look. Whether your calendar is stuffed with family dinners, gift swaps with friends or an office cocktail party, this red lip look will be your go-to style all season long.
This look calls for a Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Fever Palette, but any product will work as long as you have a light tan shadow and matte shadows in a clay, plum and raspberry. You could also experiment with colors. For example, smoky shadows with glittery silver cream eye shadow would look just as stunning with red lips. Be sure to use a matte liquid lipstick instead of a glossy one; matte lipsticks keep the focus on the color, last longer and look flawless in photos.

Instructions
1. Start by protecting and hydrating your skin. Rub in your favorite lightweight moisturizer.
2. Get a healthy glow and even texture by rubbing in a makeup primer such as the Backlight Priming Filter by BECCA.
3. With a foundation brush, dab foundation on your cheeks, forehead and chin. Use stippling motions to evenly distribute the foundation.
4. Draw concealer on top of your cheeks near the inner corners of your eyes, on the inside of your lids near the inner corners, between your eyebrows and around your nose. Use a small stippling brush to blend it in around your nose and the sensitive parts of your eyes. Blend in with a foundation brush on your cheeks and between your eyebrows.
5. With a powder brush, use a stippling motion to apply powder to your cheeks where you applied the concealer.
6. Use a bronzer brush and a swirling motion to apply bronzer underneath your cheekbones.
7. Use a blush brush and a stippling motion to apply blush to the apples of your cheeks.
8. Outline and fill in your eyebrows with a brow gel and an angled brush. Shape your brows with a spoolie.
9. Load up a fluffy eye shadow brush with a light tan shadow. Apply to your crease.
10. With a small eye shadow brush, apply a matte clay shadow to the outer side of your eyelid.
11. Use the same brush to apply a matte raspberry shadow just inside the clay shadow.
12. Paint bronze shimmer gel eye shadow onto the inside and middle of your lid.
13. With a small shadow brush, apply a matte plum shadow between the bronze shimmer and the raspberry shadow. Use a stippling motion to blend the colors.
14. Apply false eyelashes. Allow the lash glue to set.
15. Paint on liquid lipstick in a bold red hue.
16. Holding the can six inches or more away from your face, spray on setting spray. This will keep your makeup looking fresh all day long.
