Cranberry tinsel makeup look

When it comes to the holiday season, you're presented with the perfect time to spice up your regular makeup look. The most wonderful time of the year means you get free reign to experiment with color and glitter in a way you can't for the non-festive months. But taking advantage of the holiday spirit in terms of makeup can also be a little bit overwhelming. If you aren't used to experimenting with a more dramatic look, it can be hard to know where to start.
This look, though, is a perfect place to start. It takes inspiration from traditional holiday elements, such as Christmas decorations and cranberry sauce, to give you the holiday look of your dreams. Wearing this for the next two months means no one will be questioning whether you're in the festive spirit!

Instructions
1. Apply a full coverage concealer to the entire eyelid up to the brow to prime for eye shadow. Blend in using a beauty sponge.
2. Use a powder and an angled brush to fill in eyebrows.
3. Take a mid-toned pink eye shadow on a small fluffy brush, and begin defining the crease. We used the shade Girl Bye from the Dose of Colors Friendcation Palette.
4. Using a clean brush, further define the crease with a matte, mid-toned purple. We used the shade Jezebel from the Juvia's Place Nubian II Palette.
5. Take the concealer you used to prime on a small detailer brush, and apply it only to the eyelid, defining the mobile lid up to the crease.
6. Use a flat eye shadow brush to press a shimmery pink shadow over the top of the concealer.
7. Highlight the inner corner of the eye using a shimmery white shadow. We used Zuri from the same Juvia's Place palette.
8. Apply a black pencil eyeliner to the outer corner of the upper lash line, and drag it into a wing shape using an angled brush. Smoke this out using a matte black eye shadow.
9. Use a glittery gold liquid eye shadow on a liner brush to define the cut crease.
10. Define the upper lash line with a thin line of black liquid liner.
11. Apply black mascara to top and bottom lashes.
12. Apply a medium coverage, glowy foundation using a damp beauty sponge.
13. Use a full coverage concealer to add brightness to the high points of the face. Set using a matte pressed powder and a tapered brush.
14. Take a cool, taupe toned contour powder under cheekbones and around the face's perimeter.
15. Apply a warm-toned shimmery blush to the apples of the cheeks, then use a golden-peach toned highlighter on the cheekbones and the bridge of the nose.
16. Take your original mid-toned pink eye shadow on an angled brush, and apply it to the lower lash line.
17. For extra drama, apply a pair of black false lashes.
18. Line lips with a warm-toned nude pencil, and fill in with a warm brown liquid lipstick for an ombre effect. Santa hat optional!
