Create nautical knots interwoven with white and gold

Every good sailor knows that tying knots is a necessary part of the day. When done right, they keep your boat from drifting. Tying a good nautical knot takes practice, but you can recreate its woven appearance by combining gold and white polish for a sail-worthy manicure.
This fancy knot design starts with a warm nude base. The gold glitter knot is embellished with white drawing gel. To create the interwoven design, you’ll layer white paint on top of the gold. Remember to leave spaces between the white dashes, so the gold will show through.

Instructions
1. Apply two coats of nude polish to your nails, curing it between coats with the UV or LED lamp.
2. Create a large rope design with gold glitter drawing gel and a medium liner brush. Cure the wet gel with the lamp.
3. Dip the long liner brush into the white drawing gel, and then paint small straight lines over the intersecting portions of the gold rope.
4. Repeat step three by layering more white paint over the existing design to create a woven appearance. Tip: Keep the white stripes far enough apart, so that the gold shows in between. Cure the paint with the lamp.
5. Seal the design with a single coat of no-wipe top coat polish, and cure it with the lamp.
