Create a balanced full face makeup look with warm brown smoky eyes

Despite the popularity of large eye shadow palettes, it can still be difficult to put together a cohesive makeup look. Too many choices can make it hard to pick colors that complement one another and your skin. Instead of battling through the process alone, this tutorial will help you choose colors for your eyes, cheeks and lips like a professional.
This warm brown smoky-eyed look is just right for autumn because it pairs warm peach, orange and brown hues with copper metallic shades. The smoky eye starts off neutral and builds intensity through layers. To keep the look cohesive, use matte shadow initially, and add drama with highlighter and loose pigment.

Instructions
1. Even out your skin tone by applying liquid foundation with a damp beauty sponge.
2. Brighten your undereye area and bring light to the center of your forehead as well as your nose, cupid’s bow and chin by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Press the concealer into the foundation with a damp beauty sponge.
3. Pat pressed powder onto the concealed areas of your skin with a tapered cheek brush. Don’t swirl the brush during this step or you will move the concealer underneath.
4. Contour the area below your cheekbone as well as the upper corners of your forehead by applying cool brown blush with a fan brush. Swirl the brush slightly to diffuse the product.
5. To make your nose look thinner or straighter, contour it as well. Apply brown blush along each side of the nose with a small tapered brush. Diffuse the powder thoroughly to eliminate any harsh lines.
6. Give your cheeks a kiss of color by swirling peachy orange blush onto the apples with a cheek brush. Sweep the blush up in an angular motion toward the top of your ear to emphasize your cheekbones.
7. Apply metallic peach highlighting powder to the tops of your cheekbones with the small tapered brush. Apply highlighter to the center of your forehead, tip of your nose, cupid’s bow and chin.
8. Fill in the sparse areas of your brows and define their shape with brown eyebrow powder and an angled brush.
9. Give depth to your eye by sweeping brown matte eye shadow into the crease with a crease brush.
10. Diffuse the pigment further by sweeping a blending brush back and forth in the crease in windshield wiper motions.
11. Pat dark brown matte eye shadow onto your eyelid with a flat eye shadow brush. Patting prevents excess shadow from falling off the brush and settling below your eyes.
12. Accentuate your eyes by applying dark brown eyeliner pencil along the upper lash line.
13. Darken the outer edge of the lash line by patting dark brown matte eye shadow onto the eyeliner with a pencil brush.
14. Brighten the center of the lid by patting on metallic copper highlighter with a flat eye shadow brush.
15. Apply black matte eye shadow to the outer and inner corners of the lid with a pencil brush, and then diffuse the pigment with the blending brush.
16. Tap metallic copper loose highlighting pigment into the jar lid, and swirl a small eye shadow brush in the pigment. Tap off the excess, and apply the pigment to the inner corner of your eye near the tear duct. Pigment can be messy, so take your time on this step to avoid getting loose pigment in your eye.
17. Line your upper lash line with black liquid eyeliner.
18. Apply two coats of black mascara to your lashes.
19. Darken the area below your lower lashes with dark brown eyeliner pencil.
20. Set the brown eyeliner and give it a little extra sparkle by applying metallic copper highlighter powder on top of it with an angled brush.
21. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
22. Pat rosy nude lip gloss onto the center of the lid for a high-shine, runway effect.
23. Outline your lips with rosy brown lip pencil.
24. Fill in your lips with warm brown lipstick.
25. Finish your look by adding rosy nude lip gloss to the center of your lips.
