Take your metallic look up a notch with this modern style

Makeup is meant to be fun, and eye shadow manufacturers have taken notice of the public’s interest in all things sparkly. Although glitter goes in and out of style, metallic looks continue to rule the runway. Maybe it’s the reflectivity or the way that metallic and foil shades change colors in the light.
If you want your eyes to sparkle, then this tutorial will help you achieve that goal. Start with a metallic copper base, and layer fuchsia, burgundy and white-gold shadow for an updated look. To ensure that your eyes steal the show, keep the cheeks and lips subdued but not completely neutral.

Instructions
1. Outline the brows and fill in any sparse areas with eyebrow pencil.
2. To even out your skin, apply foundation to your face and eye area with a foundation brush. Stipple the foundation onto your skin to prevent brush marks, and press the product in with a damp beauty sponge.
3. Brighten your face and create dimension by applying light-colored concealer to the center of your forehead, down the center of your nose, below your eyes, above the Cupid’s bow and on the chin. Pat the product into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
4. Contour your upper forehead, temples and cheeks by applying dark-colored concealer with a contouring brush. Pat the concealer into your foundation, and blend away harsh edges with a damp beauty sponge.
5. Set the light-colored concealer with loose finishing powder. Pat and press it into the skin with the damp beauty sponge, and remove any excess with a powder brush.
6. Swirl dark brown contour powder below the cheekbones, along the temples and onto the outer corners of the forehead with a cheek brush.
7. Give your face a kiss of color by swirling burgundy blush onto your cheeks with a cheek brush.
8. Apply eyelid primer to your eye area with the applicator wand, and buff it into the skin with a small buffing brush.
9. Apply metallic copper eye shadow base to your eye area with a flat eye shadow brush, but do not bring the product all the way up to your brow bone. Pat the product into your skin, and use a blending brush to diffuse any harsh edges.
10. Layer fuchsia loose pigment over the inner two-thirds of your lid with a flat eye shadow brush, and apply additional pigment below the lower lashes.
11. Accentuate the crease and outer corner of your eye by applying burgundy eye shadow with a crease brush.
12. Highlight the inner corner of each eye near the tear duct with white-gold metallic eye shadow. Use a small flat brush for precision.
13. Darken the outer corner of your upper lid as well as the outer corner below your lashes by applying black eye shadow with a pencil brush.
14. Apply two coats of black mascara.
15. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, and apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
16. Outline your lips with brick-colored lip liner.
17. Brush glitter glue onto your lips with a lip brush, and pat fuchsia loose pigment onto them.
