Celebrate the sea with blue and white stripes and a gold anchor accent

For a beachy weekend look with flair, borrow a pattern from the fabric often used to decorate seaside homes. Cabana stripes combine various colors with white or cream, and you’ll find this characteristic pattern on towels, furnishings and now, nails.
Blue and white stripes are accented with a touch of gold in this striped manicure. Start with a white base coat, and then add stripes of blue. The thin gold lines make the design pop, and a gold anchor charm completes the look.

Instructions
1. Apply two coats of white gel polish to your nails, curing it between coats with the UV or LED lamp.
2. Paint three horizontal stripes on your nail using blue gel polish. Add extra polish, if needed, using the medium liner brush. This will ensure each stripe is straight and that the color is saturated. Cure the wet gel with the lamp.
3. Outline each blue stripe with gold drawing gel using the long liner brush for precision. Cure the wet gel with the lamp.
4. Seal the nail surface with a thin layer of no-wipe top coat, and then cure the gel with the lamp.
5. Pick up the anchor charm with the tweezers, and dip the back of the charm into the builder gel. Place the charm on your nail of choice, and cure the gel with the lamp.
6. Apply no-wipe top coat to the surrounding area of the nail featuring the charm, and cure the gel once more with the lamp.
