Look lovely in lilac with this makeup style

To look as sunny as spring no matter the month, try out this lilac makeup look. It uses the softest purples in your eye shadow palette to create a style that’s light, bright and made for mingling. Try it before heading to your next happy hour or even for a low-key day out. The colors are funky enough for a night on the town but can pass for a more casual occasion as well.
Rich, matte shadow is one of the head-turning features of this makeup look. The key to nailing the style is to start with an eye shadow primer, which will help pigments pop and products stay in place. Applying an electric purple lipstick to your lids before the shadows also adds depth and intensity. If you don’t have such a lipstick, you could skip this step or use cream eye shadow in a similar hue.

Instructions
1. Fill in your brows with a brow pencil.
2. To reduce the appearance of fine lines and extend your makeup’s wear, rub the Milani Instant Touch-Up Blur Stick across your face. You can also use your primer of choice.
3. Apply foundation evenly across your face with a foundation brush and short, sweeping motions.
4. Apply concealer a shade or two lighter than your foundation below your eyes, between your brows, along the bridge of your nose, above your Cupid’s bow and on your chin. Blend it in with a slightly damp blending sponge and quick, stippling motions.
5. Dab along your cheekbones and around your temples and forehead with a darker shade of concealer or a contouring stick. Blend it in by stippling with a foundation brush.
6. Sweep powder across your face with a powder brush. With a bronzer brush, sweep bronzer around your cheekbones and temples.
7. Evenly apply eye shadow primer to your lid and up to your brow bone with an eye shadow base brush.
8. Apply “Heroine” or a bright purple cream eye shadow to your lid, crease and lower lash line with an eye shadow blender brush. Go over that with a light lilac shadow using a fluffy eye shadow brush.
9. Add medium lilac shadow to the outer edge of your lid and crease with a fluffy eye shadow brush.
10. Add a touch of highlighter to the inner corners of your eyes and on your brow bone using a small shadow brush.
11. Apply mascara to your upper lashes. Glue on false lashes, then apply gel eyeliner above your upper lash line.
12. With a highlighter brush, sweep highlighter onto the top of your cheeks and around your temples.
13. Line your lips with “Coffee and Kissy” or a light brown lip liner. Apply a nude lipstick.
