Warm up your makeup look for autumn

After a long, glorious summer, it’s time to shift gears. This includes updating your makeup look, so that it parallels the colors of the season. Autumn landscapes transform as leaves turn shades of gold, orange, bronze and brown.
Since windy weather is often part of the equation, you’ll need to prep your skin by applying moisturizer. If yours doesn’t include sunscreen, you may want to invest in a two-for-one product, so you don’t have to apply multiple layers. Choose an illuminating primer as well as a dewy setting spray to maintain or fake a radiant glow even on chilly, blustery days.

Instructions
1. Protect your face from sun damage by applying moisturizer that contains sunscreen.
2. To create a dewy base for foundation, pat and press illuminating makeup primer onto your face. Pay extra attention to areas that tend to get oily, such as your T-zone. Primer helps makeup adhere better. Tip: Wait several minutes before applying makeup, so that the moisturizer and primer can absorb completely.
3. Apply yellow-beige cream eye shadow to the eyelid with an eye shadow brush.
4. Give the eye depth by sweeping light brown matte eye shadow into the crease with a fluffy blending brush.
5. Darken the outer corner of the eyelid by applying medium brown matte eye shadow with the same brush. Tip: Pat the color onto the corner first, and then blend the color in circular motions.
6. Apply dark brown matte eye shadow onto the outer third of the eyelid as well as the crease with the fluffy blending brush.
7. Shimmery eye shadow applies best with your finger, so gently dab your ring finger in the golden brown shimmer shadow, and apply it to the inner two-thirds of your eyelid.
8. Make your lashes look more dense by applying black matte eyeliner just above the lash line. Tip: You’ll create a smoother line if you gently hold the skin near the eye while applying eyeliner.
9. Smudge the eyeliner slightly with a short bristled shading brush.
10. Apply one or two coats of black mascara to your upper lashes.
11. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, then apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
12. Apply liquid foundation to your face, stippling it into place with a foundation brush. Pat and press the brush against your skin in a downward motion instead of swirling it. This prevents brush strokes.
13. Bring light to the center of your face by applying concealer with the applicator wand. Sweep it onto the center of your forehead, down the center of your nose, below your eyes, above your mouth and onto your chin. Press the product into your skin with the damp beauty sponge.
14. Tap a small amount of loose setting powder into the lid of the jar. Dip the damp beauty sponge into the powder, then press it against the concealed areas on your face to set the concealer. Sweep away excess powder with the fluffy powder brush.
15. Warm up your complexion by dusting matte bronzing powder along your upper forehead, temples and cheekbones with a cheek brush.
16. Add a little color to your face by applying peachy-pink blush with the fluffy cheek brush.
17. Define your brows, and fill in sparse or missing hairs with brow pomade and an angled brow brush.
18. Keep your makeup looking fabulous all day by misting your face with setting spray. Tip: Hold the bottle 6 to 8 inches away from your face to prevent droplets from forming on your skin.
