Upgrade your makeup this fall with a hint of purple

When a summer breeze turns into an autumn wind, you know it’s time to switch to heavier clothes and seasonal makeup shades. While you may miss your sun-kissed glow, bronzer can quickly warm up a sallow complexion. But how do you pick eye shadow colors for a season with so many variables?
Borrow inspiration from the falling leaves. All those golden and copper hues mix beautifully with deep burgundy and purple tones. Combining them with a pair of fluffy false lashes and lots of black liner is a great way to showcase your eyes. The following tutorial will also help you select complementary blush and lip colors to keep the look from being too dramatic.

Instructions
1. To help your makeup stay in place all day long, apply makeup primer with the pads of your fingers.
2. Put liquid foundation onto the back of your hand or directly onto the foundation brush, and then apply the foundation to your face in light tapping motions.
3. Apply a small amount of concealer to the center of your forehead, below the inner corners of the eyes, above the cupid’s bow and on the tip of the chin.
4. Gently pat the concealer into your skin with a small buffing brush. Tip: Do not swirl the brush as this will leave brush marks.
5. To give your face more dimension, create shadows by stroking the contour stick directly onto your skin. Apply a small amount below the cheekbones, along the jawline, around the corners of the forehead, and down the sides of the nose. Buff the product into place with a cheek brush.
6. Set your concealer and mattify your eyelids by applying setting powder to both areas with a powder brush. Tip: Lightly powdering your eye area will prevent eye shadow from creasing.
7. Swirl and sweep bronzer along the tops of your cheekbones with a soft cheek brush.
8. Add a healthy glow to your face by swirling warm copper blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
9. For brows that don’t budge, apply waterproof eyebrow corrector with an angled brow brush. Refine the outline first, and then fill in any sparse areas.
10. Warm up the crease area of the eye by applying peachy-beige matte eye shadow with a fluffy blending brush. Sweep the brush back and forth in windshield wiper motions to diffuse the color.
11. Deepen the outer corner and the crease by layering dusty burgundy matte eye shadow on with the same brush.
12. For further definition, pat dark burgundy satin eye shadow onto the outer corner. Work the color into the crease as well.
13. Round out the look by applying the same color below the lower lashes with a small shader brush.
14. Brighten the eye by patting light copper frost eye shadow onto the inner two-thirds of the lid with a flat eye shadow brush.
15. Eyeliner makes lashes look more dense at the base. Apply black liquid eyeliner just above the upper lashes.
16. For added drama, apply black eye pencil inside the lower waterline.
17. Apply one or two coats of black mascara to your upper lashes.
18. Hold the false lashes with the tweezers, and apply a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
19. Complete the look by lining and filling in your lips with pinky-brown matte liquid lipstick. Since liquid lipstick can be difficult to apply perfectly, transfer product from the applicator to a lip brush, and use it instead.
