Soften up your eyes with this velvet crease look

There's something about velvet that people love. The soft shine and comforting warmth are the envy of other fabrics. You can easily recreate the smooth subtlety of velvet on your eyes with this chocolaty brown makeup look.
The key to creating a velvet finish is to layer several colors, making sure to blend them well. Finish off the look with your favorite volumizing mascara, or opt for added power with false lashes. The shiny metallics are perfect for a night out but can be toned down for work.

Instructions
1. Line and fill your brows with NYX Precision Brow Pencil in “Espresso,” then use an angled brow brush and Smashbox Brow Tech in “Dark Brown to go over your brows.
2. Cover your eyelid with MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in “Groundwork” with a round shadow brush.
3. Use a flat shadow brush to pat on the shadow color “Dawn” from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette just under your eyebrows to better define the line.
4. With a round shadow brush, combine the colors “New Wave” and “Roxy” from the ABH palette, and sweep them into your eyelid crease.
5. Use a clean round shadow brush to apply a layer of the color “All Star” from the ABH palette in your crease, blending onto your lid.
6. Paint on your upper lid the lighter color of the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer. Use a small flat shadow brush to blend the concealer into your eyelid, using it to define your crease.
7. Use another round shadow brush to apply “Fudge” from the ABH palette to the outer corner of your eye.
8. Use a flat shadow brush to apply a bit of “Adorn” from the ABH palette to the middle of your lid, blending into the shadow on the outer corner.
9. Apply Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in “Smoky Storm” to the rest of your lid. Blend it into the shadow on your outer corner.
10. Add “Cube” from the ABH palette to the inner corner of your eye with a smudge brush. This will open up your eyes.
11. Line your lower lid with MAC Studio Chromographic Pencil in “NC15,” focusing on your waterline.
12. Combine the colors “Fudge” and “All Star” from the ABH palette on your lower lash line with a small flat shadow brush, using the combination as a soft liner.
13. Use NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker to line your upper lashes, pulling the outer corner to create a subtle wing following the shadow you applied.
14. Apply your favorite false lashes for extra drama. If you want a softer look, opt for your favorite volumizing mascara. On your bottom lashes, use your favorite volumizing mascara, too. We used Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara.
15. Line your lips with MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in “Absolutely It,” and fill your lips with Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in “1995.”
