How to create explosive firework nails bursting with color

What gets you in the mood for summer? The smell of barbecues, starry skies, trips to the beach, tanned skin, and, of course, the anticipation of fireworks. These summer months call for something a little more spectacular to be included in your manicure, which is exactly why we couldn't resist creating unique firework nails. The huge glittery explosions are a breathtaking display every 4th of July, so why not make the fun last a little bit longer by capturing a snapshot on your nails?
If you want to step out of your pastel block-color comfort zone, this tutorial was made with you in mind. Even those with the shakiest of hands can nail this dynamic look with just a few simple brush strokes. Follow the steps below and by the end, to loosely quote Katy Perry, baby, you'll be a firework.

Instructions
1. Paint your entire nail with the Makartt Purple Crystal Jelly Gel, and cure it under your gel lamp for approximately 30 seconds or more.
2. With a liner brush, paint delicate, bursting strokes of the Canni Gel Paint in shade 506. You only need to paint around four of these strokes, which should be focused on a small area of your nail toward the tip and resemble the inner explosion of a firework.
3. Cure your initial strokes under your gel lamp until the nail is dry.
4. Now that your first stage of firework flames are complete, use your liner brush again to paint more strokes with the Elite99 Gold Drawing Gel in shade 5601. These golden strokes should be smaller and sit between the original purple strokes to give the illusion of the firework exploding outward.
5. Dry your nail under your gel lamp.
6. To complete the final touches on your firework nail, apply more strokes to your work with a liner brush and the Canni Gel Paint in shade 596. These white strokes should sit somewhat in-between previous your previous golden strokes, but also be further out on the nail to capture the bursting effect.
7. Dry your final brush strokes under your gel lamp.
8. Now that your design is finished, it's time to make sure it remains strong and secure. To achieve this, paint your entire nail with the Cheri Non-Wipe Gel Top Coat and cure it once more under your gel lamp. Once dry, your nails will be fun, festive and ready for the fabulous summer nights ahead.
