Go nude with this neutral-toned makeup look

For many of us, bright makeup colors seem a little over the top. Although there's surely a time and a place for a neon look, neutrals tend to be more appropriate for everyday wear. The problem is that, without the right technique, a neutral look risks becoming boring. It doesn't have to be, though.
The truth is, neutral-toned looks can be just as interesting and exciting as those involving brighter shades. It's all about choosing the right products (and the right colors) to ensure you'll look polished, natural and sculpted, but never too out-there or aggressive.

Instructions
1. With a thin eyebrow pencil, fill in your eyebrows using natural, hairlike strokes. Comb through to ensure a soft effect.
2. Spritz the entire face liberally with a primer spray, and allow to dry.
3. Apply a medium-coverage color correcting cream with a buffing brush.
4. With a damp beauty sponge, apply a high-coverage under-eye concealer in a shade or two lighter than your skin.
5. Use a concealer two shades darker than your skin tone as a liquid contour. Apply to the hollows of your cheekbones and the perimeter of your forehead, and blend out with the same beauty sponge.
6. Set your makeup with a fluffy brush and some loose translucent powder. This will mattify it and ensure your look will last.
7. Use the same shade of concealer you applied under your eyes to prime your eyelids. This will create a uniform base and give the eye shadow something to grip to. Blend with a domed eye shadow brush.
8. Dust a matte bronzer around the perimeter of your face with a fluffy face brush to add depth.
9. Apply the same bronzer to your eyelids with a fluffy eye shadow brush, focusing on the crease.
10. Add depth to your lashline with a bronze eyeliner pencil. Blend with a flat eye shadow brush. Apply the same shade lightly underneath each eye.
11. Line the waterline of each eye with a nude pencil. This will help open up the eyes and make you appear more awake.
12. Apply black mascara to your top and bottom eyelashes.
13. Line your lips with a warm nude liner. Use the same shade to fill in your lips.
14. Apply a nude lipstick all over your lips.
15. Finish the look with a second douse of the primer and setting spray to lock everything in to last all day (or night).
