Create a smoky eye with a glittery gold accent

Even if there's no holiday on the horizon, it's fun to add loose glitter to your makeup. That sparkly dust attracts the light, brightens your eyes and makes even an ordinary day special. Unfortunately, loose glitter is hard to control, so preventing fallout is a priority.
There are two ways to approach the glitter conundrum. You can apply your eye makeup first, or you can lay down a barrier to make cleaning up quick and effortless. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to do the latter. Translucent powder, when applied with a damp beauty sponge, "bakes" the undereye area, so your concealer won't crack or crease. It also prevents glitter from adhering to your foundation and can be quickly swept away with a powder brush.

Instructions
1. Pat peach pearl strobe cream onto your temples, nose, cheekbones and chin, then press it into your skin with a damp beauty sponge.
2. Prime your T-zone to prevent your foundation from shifting during the day by applying blurring primer stick.
3. Even out your complexion by applying matte liquid foundation with a damp beauty sponge.
4. Build a base for your bronzing powder by applying cream foundation that is one to two shades darker than your base to the hollows of your cheeks and your temples with a contouring brush. Use the damp beauty sponge to diffuse the product and blur the edges.
5. Set your base makeup to ensure it stays matte all day by applying golden tan powder with a fluffy brush.
6. Layer matte bronzing powder over the dark cream foundation on your temples and cheekbones with a fan brush. To contour your nose, use a buffing brush to apply the bronzer down each side, then blend to eliminate the harsh edges. Finish by pressing the powder into your skin with the beauty sponge.
7. Give your cheeks a healthy glow by applying golden brown blush with a cheek brush. Start with the apples of the cheeks, then move your brush in a diagonal line toward the top of your ear. Blend thoroughly to eliminate obvious edges.
8. Emphasize the high points of your face by applying peachy champagne highlighter to your temples, cheekbones, nose and cupid's bow with a domed highlighting brush.
9. Spritz your face with golden pearl priming spray to set your makeup, then use the beauty sponge to press any remaining product into your skin.
10. Groom your brows with the spoolie, then apply eyebrow powder with an angled brow brush to fill in any sparse spots.
11. Outline your brows with dark brown eyebrow pencil to improve the shape.
12. Keep your brows in place all day by applying a coat of clear eyebrow gel to the hairs.
13. Give your eye depth by sweeping matte tan eye shadow into the crease with a fluffy blending brush.
14. Intensify the crease by applying matte rusty brown eye shadow with the same brush.
15. Brighten the center of the lid by applying deep gold glitter eye shadow in a patting motion with the shader brush.
16. Apply chocolate brown glitter eye shadow to the outer corner of the crease with the pencil brush.
17. Define the bottom of the eye by applying matte rusty brown eye shadow below the lower lashes with the shader brush.
18. Use the beauty sponge to apply a thick layer of translucent setting powder below the eyes. The powder serves as a barrier for any glitter fallout that may occur in the next step. You'll sweep it off later.
19. With a small eye shadow brush, pat loose gold glitter onto the lid, then sweep away the powder under your eyes with the powder brush.
20. Apply one or two coats of mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
21. Use the tweezers to pick up the false lashes. Put a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
22. To keep your lipstick from feathering, line your lips with dusty rose lip pencil, then apply rosy beige lipstick.
23. Add the crowning touch to your pout by applying shimmering rose lip gloss. It not only feels good, but it makes your lips look fuller.
