Create a neutral smoky eye with a subtle rosy lip

Neutral need not be boring. In most work environments, the go-to makeup shades include ivory, taupe, and brown. This smoky-eye makeup tutorial keeps those colors front and center but gives them a little shimmer to make them pop. The effect is subtle, but it will glam up your normal look.
To achieve this effect, use rosy brown eye shadow stick as a base on the lid instead of primer. The creamy consistency makes it easy to apply, and it helps shimmer shadow cling better. Smoke out the upper lash line by applying black eyeliner pencil and smudging it with a pencil brush.

Instructions
1. Gently hold the skin near the eye taut, then apply rosy brown eye shadow stick onto the lid and below the lower lashes. Use your finger to pat the color into the skin, then wipe your finger clean on the towel. Tip: Holding the skin will prevent you from accidentally applying color to the crease area.
2. Layer taupe shimmer eye shadow over the initial color with a flat eye shadow brush. This intensifies the color and prevents the stick product from creasing.
3. Apply black eyeliner pencil just above the upper lashes, then smudge the liner with a pencil brush to diffuse the pigment.
4. Darken your lashes by applying one or two coats of mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.
5. Fill in your brows with dark brown eyebrow pencil, then brush through them to soften the pigment and set them into place using the attached screw brush.
6. Prevent your brows from being unruly by brushing clear brow gel through the hair.
7. Line and fill in your lips with matte pink-brown lip pencil.
