Create a dramatic silver glitter eye look with winged liner and false lashes

Special occasion makeup can be intimidating. False lashes, a fierce wing, and glitter shadow take more effort than a daily routine, but this tutorial walks you through everything step by step.
If you usually do your base makeup first, you'll want to delay that step here. Dramatic shadow, especially dark colors like gray and blackened brown, can leave fallout below your eyes. It's much easier to clean it up without your concealer on, so base makeup, concealer, bronzer, and blush go on last.

Applying false lashes can also be a challenge, so you may want to practice that step by itself on a day when you're not trying to look completely perfect. The same advice holds true for drawing the perfect wing. If you haven't mastered this technique yet, pause the video during this step to see how it's done. Most people draw their wing in sections, so go slow.

Instructions
1. Conceal discoloration and prepare the eye area for makeup by applying liquid concealer to the eye area with the applicator wand, then use a buffing brush to press it into place.
2. Tap a small amount of loose translucent powder into the lid of the jar. Dip the fluffy powder brush into the powder, then sweep the powder over the entire eye area.
3. Sweep bronzing powder into the eyelid crease with the eye shadow blending brush.
4. Layer matte gray eye shadow over the bronzer with the same brush.
5. Darken the outer third of the lid with matte blackened brown eye shadow using the blending brush.
6. Apply silver shimmer eye shadow to the inner two-thirds of the lid with the flat shader brush.
7. Use the flat eyeliner brush and black cream eyeliner to line the upper eye and create a small wing. Position the brush at the outer corner of the eye in a slight diagonal, so the outer edge is pointing toward the temple. Next, position the brush above the first line to form the upper portion of the wing. Drag the brush back toward the lash line, then fill in the gap between the two lines to form the wing.
8. Sweep matte gray eye shadow under the lower lashes using the flat shader brush.
9. Darken the shadow beneath the lower lashes with matte blackened brown eye shadow and the flat shader brush.
10. Intensify the eyes by applying black pencil eyeliner to both the lower and upper waterlines. This will make your upper lashes look more dense.
11. Pat rose gold liquid eye shadow onto the center of the lid with your finger.
12. Brighten the inner corners of your eyes by applying pearly quartz highlighter with a small, flat brush.
13. Apply one or two coats of mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
14. Use the tweezers to pick up the false lashes. Put a small amount of lash glue onto the lash band. Let the glue set for 10 seconds, then apply the lashes just above your upper lash line.
15. Fill in your brows using brow gel and an angled brow brush. Diffuse the pigment and fluff up the brow hair with a spoolie.
16. Highlight the arch of the brow bone by applying pearly quartz highlighter with a small, flat brush.
17. To make your makeup last longer, gently rub and press foundation primer into your skin with your fingers.
18. Even out your skin by applying liquid foundation with a fluffy foundation brush. Stipple the foundation onto your skin to achieve a flawless finish.
19. Brighten the area under the eyes by applying liquid concealer with the applicator wand, then use a buffing brush to press the concealer into place.
20. To bring light to the center of your face, apply additional concealer on the forehead, nose, cupid's bow, and chin. Pat the product into the skin with the buffing brush.
21. Prevent your base makeup from shifting by brushing matte setting powder all over with the powder brush.
22. Pat and swirl warm copper blush onto the cheeks with the cheek brush.
23. Highlight the high points of your face by applying pearly quartz highlighter to the cheekbones, temples, nose, forehead, and cupid's bow with a domed highlighter brush.
24. Finish the look by applying pinky nude lipstick to your lips with a lip brush. Tip: A lip brush ensures a cleaner application.
