This black glitter smokey eye is a fun twist on a glamorous classic

For many of us, a smokey eye look is the final frontier in makeup. Applying copious amounts of black eye shadow is undoubtedly a bit intimidating, but is there a way to make this style more fun? Adding glitter is the answer.
A smokey eye with some attention-grabbing silver is a gorgeous way to elevate the look. It's the perfect meeting point between glamour and rock 'n' roll. If you want to boost the drama without feeling too serious, this is a fantastic party makeup option. Large statement earrings are optional — but highly encouraged — to pair with a black glitter smokey eye.

Instructions
1. Apply tinted eye shadow base all over your eyelid and up to your brows using the large eye shadow brush.
2. Work the warm nude eye shadow color into the crease of your eye with the fluffy eye shadow brush.
3. Build up intensity in your crease by applying a warm caramel eye shadow there.
4. Apply a deep taupe shade in the outer part of your crease to add even more dimension.
5. Build up the color even further by adding a matte black shadow into your crease.
6. Apply chunky black eyeliner all over your eyelid. It doesn't matter if it's messy as you'll then blend it out with the small eye shadow brush. Blend the edges of this liner further with a clean fluffy brush.
7. Apply black glittery pressed pigment all over your eyelid using your ring finger.
8. Put black mascara on your top and bottom eyelashes. You can add an optional strip eyelash for an even more dramatic effect.
9. Fill in eyebrows using a small brow pencil and short strokes.
10. Apply some of the caramel eye shadow to your lower lash line with a pencil brush. Build up intensity using the dark taupe and matte black eye shadows.
11. Apply matte black pencil eyeliner into your waterline.
12. Finish the look with a pinkish nude lipstick and a shimmery sheer gloss.
