How to apply makeup for a poreless, matte finish

Wearing base makeup is a very personal decision. It can even out your complexion, hide flaws, and make your skin look more refined. When choosing base makeup, you need to decide what your goals are, so you can pick a finish that will live up to your expectations.
Matte makeup makes skin look poreless and completely smooth. It's a great choice if you live in a humid environment, and it can help keep your natural oil production under control. Matte foundation may be the first step, but there are a few additional things you can do to keep your skin looking perfect all day. Watch the following tutorial to see them in action.

Instructions
1. Apply a few drops of liquid foundation to your forehead, cheeks and chin, then buff the foundation into your skin with a kabuki brush.
2. If you have darkness or discoloration under your eyes, apply liquid concealer over it with the included wand, then press the concealer into the skin with a damp beauty sponge.
3. Contour underneath your cheekbones and along the upper portion of your forehead by applying cream contour stick to each area. Blend the product into your foundation in circular motions with a fluffy cheek brush.
4. Tap some loose face powder into the jar lid, then dip a damp beauty sponge into the powder. Pat and press the powder onto the skin where you applied concealer and on any areas of your face that tend to get oily. Brush away any powdery residue with the fluffy powder brush.
5. Swirl the cheek brush in the blush, then apply it to your cheeks in a tapping motion.
You look gorgeous! For extra staying power, carry oil blotting sheets with you during the day. They can quickly absorb excess oil and shine, so your matte finish will remain intact.
