How to use a sleeping mask to boost hydration

While winter may be just a memory, its lingering effects can still be seen on your face. If you're tired of dealing with dry, flaky skin, adding a sleeping mask to your skincare routine will do wonders. These K-beauty products are ideal for all skin types, even those with oily skin.
To get the greatest benefit from a sleeping mask (also known as a sleeping pack), cleanse your face thoroughly and pat it dry before applying the mask. The sleeping mask shown in the tutorial is from Laneige, a popular Korean brand, and is available in most Target stores, as well as online.
If you have oily skin, use a sleeping pack once or twice per week instead of your usual evening moisturizer. If your skin is normal or dry, apply the sleeping mask over your regular moisturizer for added hydration.
- Gentle cleanser (not shown)

1. In the evening, cleanse your face. Pat it dry with a soft washcloth.
2. Immediately, apply a quarter-sized amount of the sleeping mask to your face with your fingers.
3. Gently massage the product into your skin in small, circular motions.
4. Allow the mask to sink in for about 15 to 20 minutes before you go to bed. This will prevent your pillowcase from absorbing the product.
5. In the morning, cleanse your skin thoroughly and pat dry.
As far as nighttime products are concerned, sleeping masks are worth their weight in gold. Nothing beats waking up to soft, supple, makeup-ready skin.
