How to create ombré rose nail art

Some of the prettiest nail art designs make use of alcohol ink. This product isn't traditionally used for nails, but the glass-like finishes it creates are too gorgeous not to try. To create the transparent effect, the vibrant colors of ink are combined with alcohol and are layered over white polish.
This unique ombré design features an internal swirl that looks like a rose. Start by painting white swirls over a black background, then layer blue and purple alcohol ink on top. These pigments are mixed with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The color applies like water and dries flat, but a gel top coat brings the design to life.

Instructions
1. Apply two coats of black gel polish to the nails, curing them between coats with the UV or LED lamp.
2. Pour a small amount of isopropyl alcohol into a disposable plastic cup.
3. Apply a small amount of white gel paint onto a pad of Extreme Post-it notes. Dip the fine detail brush into the paint, then set it aside momentarily.
4. Apply a single layer of gel base coat to the nails, then immediately draw swirl designs in the wet gel with the white paint. Cure the wet paint with the lamp.
5. Apply one coat of matte no-wipe gel top coat to the nails, then cure it with the lamp.
6. Dip a disposable lip gloss applicator into the alcohol, then apply one drop of blue alcohol ink to the applicator. Apply the ink to the center of the swirled design.
7. Repeat step six with the purple ink, and apply it to the remaining white areas.
8. To blend the two colors together for the ombré, dip the fine detail brush into the alcohol, then sweep the brush over the nails. The alcohol will make the colors run together and blend slightly.
9. Touch up any areas that look too pale by applying additional blue or purple ink with the disposable lip gloss applicator, then cure the ink with the lamp.
10. Protect the final design by applying a single layer of gel top coat to the nails, then cure the gel with the lamp.
