How to use lighter blush shades for a naturally pretty look

Rosy cheeks have come in and out of favor over the centuries, but there's no denying that a hint of color livens up the complexion. Getting it right, though, depends on both the products and their placement. The wrong color can make you look like a clown, and no one wants that.
Deciding where to place your blush is easier than you may think. Just look in the mirror and smile. The roundest part of your cheek, the apple, is a good place to start.

If you have fair skin, look for products that offer a hint of color. Bold, bright pinks are hard to blend, but rose, coral and peach work on almost everyone.
Watch the video to see how to apply both liquid and powder products. They work beautifully alone or layered.

Instructions
1. Put a few drops of liquid blush onto the back of your hand. Dab the foundation brush into the blush, then lightly press it against the apples of your cheeks and up the cheekbone toward the ear.
2. Use your fingers to soften any harsh edges above and below the cheek. Tip: You can also use a damp beauty sponge to diffuse the color, but the natural heat from your fingers often works better.
3. To intensify the look, apply powder blush over the liquid with a fluffy cheek brush. Blend in small circles to achieve a soft effect.
See how healthy and radiant you look? Once you get comfortable applying blush, you'll never go without it again.
