How to create pink and white nails with heart glitter

Whether you’re getting ready for a Valentine’s Day outing or just love hearts, this manicure is sure to bring a smile to your face. Instead of painting every nail the same, this combination brings the best of everything to the table. You can mix and match the styles shown to suit your mood.
In this tutorial, the pale pink wash of color is achieved by using a round nail sponge and acrylic paint — which is water-soluble, so cleanup is a breeze.
Complete the look with a red accent nail and a translucent glitter-topped pinkie nail, and you'll have a playful manicure that's one of a kind.

1. Apply two coats of white gel polish to the nails on the thumb, first finger and middle finger. Cure them between coats with the UV or LED lamp.
2. Apply two coats of red gel polish to the ring fingernail, then cure it with the lamp.
3. Apply two coats of clear gel polish to the pinkie fingernail, then cure it with the lamp.
4. Put a few drops of pink paint into the small dish, then dip the nail sponge into it.
5. Dab the paint-covered sponge onto the back half of the white nails.
6. When the pink paint is dry, apply a single coat of no-wipe gel top coat to all of the nails.
7. While the top coat is still wet, use the dotting tool to place several heart- and round-shaped sequins onto the nails.
8. Use the wax picker to place a gold charm and several rhinestone charms on the red nail.
9. Use the dotting tool to place multiple heart- and round-shaped sequins on the clear nail. Cure all of the nails with the lamp.
10. Remove any pink paint from your cuticles with a nail brush dipped in water.
11. Dip the nail sponge in water and blot it on a paper towel to clean it.
