Valentine's Day might have cornered the market on all things amor, but that doesn't mean hearts should be restricted to one day a year. Whether you love the shape, the color or the concept, hearts make a universally understood statement. As the movie title aptly states, "Love is a many-splendored thing," and this playful manicure tells the world that you're a fan.
To create this design at home, start by applying a coat of white pearl polish to all of your nails. After that, fill your nails with red glitter hearts, then outline them with white to give them more definition. Paint one accent nail completely red for drama, and get ready to receive compliments wherever you go.

1. Paint the nails with two coats of pearl gel polish, curing it between coats with the UV or LED lamp.
2. Form the top of the heart with the dotting tool and red gel glitter polish. Dip the large end of the dotting tool into the red polish, then press the tool against your nail twice to form two dots.
3. While the paint is still wet, dip the fine-detail brush into the red polish, then join the dots and form the pointed end of the heart.
4. Repeat steps two and three to create multiple hearts on the rest of your nails, but skip the ring finger. Cure the wet polish with the lamp.
5. Clean the fine-detail brush with acetone.
6. Outline each heart with white paint using the fine-detail brush, then cure the paint with the lamp.
7. For the ring finger accent nail, apply one layer of red gel glitter polish, then cure it with the lamp.
