How to remove makeup naturally with coconut oil and wake up to clean, soft skin

Your mother may have always told you that you shouldn't go to bed with makeup on. However, after a long day, the last thing you might feel like doing is more work before bedtime. Still, you mother was right: going to bed with makeup can mean waking up to disastrous results, including oily, unclean skin (not to mention a dirty pillow case!)
Removing your makeup ought to be the very first step in your nighttime skincare routine. While it may seem counterproductive to put oil on your face when you're trying to make it clean, certain plant-based oils can actually adhere to excess sebum (oil) your pores have produced during the day, along with dirt and makeup. You may already have one of these oils in your pantry: coconut oil.

Instructions
1. Using a butter knife, scoop out about a tablespoon's worth of coconut oil from the jar. Rub the clump of oil gently between your hands to warm it up and melt it.
2. Apply the coconut oil liberally all around your face in circular motions, including your lips and eyelids. Next, take another unused cotton ball and remove excess makeup around the eyes (and anywhere else you might be wearing it).
3. Take a dry washcloth and gently blot away any excess coconut oil left behind.
Now you're free to move onto the next steps in your nighttime beauty routine: cleansing and moisturizing. Sweet dreams!
